speakers bureau
Volunteers from the High-Tech High Heels Speakers Bureau had a great time speaking about the exciting opportunities in STEM careers with seventh and eighth grade students at Dallas ISD’s Quintanilla Middle School on their Career Day (May 2014).

The mission of the speakers bureau is to support our funded programs by enabling counselors, teachers, and other educational staff to find volunteers for their STEM and female focused events. Our primary focus is working with girls of all ages during events where speakers speak directly with a classroom and answer questions students may have about STEM careers, or serving on a panel.

At this time we do not have the resources to support either booth/career fair events, where there is no singular focus on STEM. We also do not support project focused events where the volunteer speakers must design or bring a project for the students to enjoy. However, we are engaged with other groups who may be able to help. Email volunteer@hightechhighheels.org for questions or more information.
