About High Tech High Heels Silicon Valley
High Tech High Heel’s (HTHH) Silicon Valley Mission is to provide programs to young women to increase female percentage going into STEM related fields, focused on the underserved communities in the Bay Area.
Our Approach: Be the marketplace to activate and scale new and existing programs that drive awareness and interest in the STEM field for girls:
- Providing role models and mentors—Break stereotypes
- Engage Girls in Hands-on STEM experiences
- Removing barriers: Create a unbiased learning environment through providing programs to the teachers
BOARD POSITIONS
Board positions are core leadership roles that are responsible for the scope of critical functions for High Tech High Heels -Silicon Valley (HTHH SV) in its startup stage.
Time Commitment: Recommended 2-year term. 10-15 hours monthly
Scope of Role: Ensures end-to-end delivery scope and delivery of a function’s plans in the HTHH SV roadmap, manages team, reports progress, plans, and challenges to fellow board members and the parent group – High Tech High Heels based out of North Texas

Chief of Volunteers
Coordinate with Board members to design and build volunteer board and comittee positions
Recruit, motivate, train, and supervise volunteers
Build Volunteer Supervisor committee to scale impact of the People team responsibility

Head of Program Management
Lead for end-to-end efficiency for the Silicon Valley Chapter
Prepare correspondence and presentations, as needed, for status reports, executive updates, meetings, annual planning, etc
Build and maintain high level roadmap
Build and train team with operating standards and procedures including managing tasks and reporting status for their department
Lead for program management committee – 1 dedicated project manager per onboarded partner

Lead of data-driven strategy build and implementation to be carried throughout Grants, Onboarded Programs, Business Development

Close partnership with Program Manager to measure ROI across the programs
Qualifications
Experience with Data sourcing and mining (5+ years)
Experience Setting and Managing KPIs for an organization (3+ years)
Experience with managing non-profit performance (1+ year)
Head of Sales
partner with Head of Business Development for Implementation of Revenue Streams and Sponsorship
Generate Sponsorship commitments
Attract leads to revenue streams or iterate on strategies to drive more impact on revenue streams
ROI analysis on effort:output
Qualifications
Experience fundraising (3+ years and/or over $100k)
Experience managing lead lists
Experience managing sales teams
Treasurer
Holds charge and custody of all funds and securities of HTHH SV
Deposit funds and documents in such financial institutions as the Board shall designate
Maintain accurate of receipts and disbursements
Prepare and manage annual budget
Manage and generates all end-to-end financial reports
Lead annual audit with HTHH in North Texas and any additional examinations
Building Team as needed to support treasurer scope
Qualifications
Treasury experience (3+ years)
Academic Partnerships
Recruit and manage partnerships with school and schools’ districts.
Spread awareness of HTHH SV and its vision and mission
Present our HTHH SV available programs and partners, articulate value add for the schools’ science, math & technology curriculum
Review requirements and call for actions from the school / school district
Coordinate & follow up on the tactical details for running the programs with the school / school district
Follow up with school / school district post programs completion to collect success metrics
Recruit team of academic partnerships volunteers.
Qualifications
Experience in the academic sector, KPIs, and school board engagement
Experience managing volunteer teams (1+ year)
COMMITTEE CHAIR AND COMMITTEE MEMBER POSITIONS
A committee develops and executes a strategy at a more-focused scope within a core function. Each committee will have a chair working directly with the Board. Committee members focus on execution, insights, and engagement with the High Tech High Heels network.
Time Commitment:
Chair: Recommended 2-year term. 5-10 hours monthly
Committee Member: Recommended 1-2 year term. 1-5 hours monthly

Business Development
Define, recruit and manage key strategic partnerships & alliances required to fund strategic STEM programs
Raise funding from partners and alliances to enable programs.
Define and execute the funding strategies to support financial goals for the Silicon Valley, considering direct asks to private individuals, requesting grants from foundations, corporations and fundraising events.
Recruit team of fundraising volunteers
Event Planner
Multiple chair and committee positions available. The event planners will manage one focused area in event type:
